Ripple’s Chris Larsen labels Vitalik Buterin “a hero.”

Although Bitcoin [BTC] remains the most popular cryptocurrency, Ethereum [ETH] has not been forgotten. The network continues to gain support from both inside and outside the crypto sphere. Chris Larsen, co-founder of Ripple, and Reese Witherspoon, a well-known actress, have both indicated interest in Ethereum on separate occasions.

Bitcoin is the world’s first and most popular cryptocurrency. While Bitcoin set the bar high, the Ethereum network has something unique to offer. Chris Larsen of Ripple, speaking on the podcast Investing in Integrity, chastised the Bitcoin community for continuing to use the proof-of-work [PoW] algorithm. He even went on to call Bitcoin “the dirtiest” cryptocurrency in existence.

Larsen continued by saying,

“This type of stupidity should be punished by the regulators. They should, in my opinion. Licenses for money transmitters should be revoked. That should get them to line up.”

A Hollywood star is Ethereum’s newest supporter!

With her newest tweet, Reese Witherspoon, a well-known American actress, disclosed that she had recently entered the crypto-verse. Witherspoon mentioned in a recent tweet that she had purchased her first ETH. Her message was as follows:

Reese supports Ethereum

For the longest period, Bitcoin maximalists have disparaged all other networks while promoting their own. Several others began pitching their currencies to Witherspoon, while others condemned ETH and the Ethereum network as a whole.

Erik Voorhees of ShapeShift sent a query to the actress in the comments area. His query was as follows:

“Frankly, what piques your interest in ETH?”

ETH appears to be making significant development. The altcoin was seen on its way to $4,000. The altcoin was trading at $3,956 at the time of writing, up 5.90 percent in the last 24 hours.
